Job Overview
**Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)**
**Responsibilities:**
* **Strategic Leadership:** Develop and execute financial strategies that support the organization’s goals and objectives.
* **Financial Planning & Analysis:** Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to ensure accountability and accurate financial projections.
* **Risk Management:** Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks to protect the organization's assets and earnings.
* **Reporting:** Prepare and present comprehensive financial reports to the executive team and Board of Directors, ensuring transparency and compliance with regulatory standards.
* **Capital Management:** Optimize the company’s capital structure and manage investment decisions to enhance growth and sustainability.
* **Cash Flow Management:** Monitor cash flow trends and implement strategies to maximize liquidity while minimizing costs.
* **Team Leadership:** Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture and continuous improvement in processes and operations.
* **Stakeholder Engagement:** Collaborate with external partners, including banks, investors, and auditors, to ensure effective financial management.
* **Policy Development:** Establish and enforce financial policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency and integrity.
* **Mergers & Acquisitions:** Evaluate potential M&A opportunities, providing financial insight and due diligence to support strategic initiatives.
**Required Skills:**
* **Financial Acumen:** Deep understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management.
* **Analytical Skills:** Strong ability to analyze complex financial information and translate it into actionable insights.
* **Leadership:** Proven track record of leading finance teams and influencing cross-functional stakeholders.
* **Communication:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
* **Problem-Solving:** Strong critical thinking and decision-making capabilities.
**Qualifications:**
* **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
* **Certification:** CPA, CMA, or similar professional certification highly desirable.
* **Experience:** Minimum 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
* **Industry Knowledge:** Previous experience in construction is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with industry standards and practices.
